Designation Engineer - Engineering (RF)
Job Description
Accountabilities (major/routine/minor)
· Access reports and databases to gather data on network statistics (routine)
· identify and analyze performance issues (routine)
· Produce optimization plan for coverage and capacity constraint areas (routine)
· Forecast and execute capacity plan (routine)
Develop options to resolve capacity constraint situations (for example, equipment additions needed) based on forecast(major)
Create proposed network build plans with associated budget requirements (major)
Track and monitor engineering projects to ensure they meet funding and timing requirements
Compile and present recurring and ad-hoc reports regarding network capacity, network element, and budget execution data (routine)
Knowledge with project management and leadership of project implementation over less seasoned engineers
Desired Profile
Technical Skills
· Experience in Performance Management and RF Optimization (Pref CDMA / EVDO)
· Fundamental understanding of CDMA/EVDO (BTS, BSC) Pref: Samsung/ Nortel/ Lucent/ Motorola
· Competent understanding of CDMA/EVDO optimization parameters definitions and both performance and capacity impacts (active/idle mode) at both BTS and BSC level
· Competent understanding of both idle and active mode call processing and able to design
· Able to make parameter changes to network on appropriate vendor platform
· Competent in capacity/PN planning
· Competent in frequency/PN interference analysis and coordination
· Excellent MS Office/Actix skills
· Automation of optimization tasks
Qualifications
Experience/Seniority
BE technical/engineering degree plus 0-3 years RF engineering experience
Personnel Skills:
· Programming and scripting
· Fluent in English (written and oral)
· Demonstrated ability to work in a team setting with minimal supervision
· Experienced with project management and team leadership
Demonstrated ability to develop and present network solutions
Experience 0 - 3 Years
Education UG - B.Tech/B.E.
PG - Any PG Course
