Central Police Organisations Examinations-2008 for recruitment of Sub-Inspector
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will hold on 09/11/2008 an open competitive examination on All-India basis for recruitment to the posts of Sub-Inspectors in Central Police Organisations in the payscale of Rs.5500-9000 in the following following Central Police Organisation :
1. Sub-Inspectors in Border Security Force (BSF) : Post Code A, 404 posts
2. Sub-Inspectors in Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) : Post Code B, 270 posts (Male-216, Female-54)
3. Sub-Inspectors in Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) : Post Code C, 64 posts
4. Sub-Inspectors in Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) : Post Code D, 97 posts
5. Sub-Inspectors in Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) : Post Code E, 23 posts
* Age : 20 to 25 years as on 04/07/2008. Age relaxation of 5 years to SC/ST candiates and 3 years to OBC candidates.
* Educational Qualification : Bachelor's Degree in any stream from a recognised University or equivalent.

Scheme of Exam : The examination will consist of two parts (i) Written Exam carrying 500 marks and (ii) Personality Test (Interview) will carry 100 marks
Fee Payable : Rs.100/- (No fee for SC/ST and Ex-Servicemen) by menas of Central Recruitment Fee Stamps only, available at head post office all over the ocuntry.
