There is a Walk -in interview at Cognizant Chennai for the role of MS SQL Server DBA. This is for candidates with more than 3 years of relevant experience.

PS : Candidates below 3+ years of experience will not be eligible to take the interview.

MS SQL Server DBA

Skills :

- Core SQL Server DBA

- SQL Server 2005 upgrade experience

- Performance Tuning

- Level 2 and Level 3 Database administration skills to support 24X7 production environment.

1. Database User account Management.

2. Database monitoring.

3. Production database refreshes.

4. Backup processes.

5. Replication processes

6. Capacity planning for databases.

7. Creation and assessment of database auditing.

8. Database Recoveries.

9. Installation rdbms software.

10. Perform physical database design.

11. Create physical database tables/index from logical designs.

12. Coding of scripts for automation of tasks.

13. Good Communication skills.

14. Ability to handle the Database issue independently.
