Asking for a referral: how to do it well, and the rules here

firstsalaryStaff · 16 hours ago · 1 view

A referral can get your resume read, but only if you make it easy for the person referring you.

How to ask

  • Name the exact role, and paste the job's link.
  • Share your resume: on My Resume, press Get public URL.
  • Say in two or three lines why you fit the role.
  • Thank them, and don't ask again if they can't help.

The rules here

  • One topic for each company you're asking about, not the same request in every topic.
  • Never pay for a referral, and never ask for money for one. firstsalary never asks job seekers to pay.
  • Never post anyone's work email or phone number.

If you can refer people at your company, start a topic saying so, with the roles and what you need from them.
